Comments:
“I would like to express my thanks for the excellent Baja Mexico tasting. There was not a bad wine amongst the wines tasted. The quality and prices were amazing. I for one will be buying some of these wines, in the future. Well done, on bringing another Wine Region to our notice.” - Mike Kelly, Leeds
“Speakers from Wine Educators International are always good value and Richard Bost gave an excellent and instructive presentation on the wine industry in Mexico. We particularly liked the Petit Syrah (Durif) and the Zinfandel (Primitivo). The wines from Cetto in Baja California were a pleasant surprise and all excellent value for money. A most enjoyable evening.” - Alisdair and Elma (Stewart), Harrogate.
"I thoroughly enjoyed the tasting on Thursday. I was very impressed with the quality of the wines which has improved over the last few years since I first tasted LA Cetto wines. Even the sparkling was drinkable, if a "tad" sweet for my taste. Another first for HMWS with wines from Mexico.” - Carole Wood, Ackworth.
“Found the Baja Mexico evening interesting. The seven wines tasted were certainly, cheap easy drinking, with I suspect very little attention paid to organic let alone biodynamic considerations! Perhaps it is worth going to see. The two wines which had the most character for me were the Petit Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon, both 2006 and priced at £5.95.” - Douglas McFarlane, Harrogate.
“I enjoyed the tasting very much and particularly meeting your wife and all your knowledgeable members! My wife and I enjoyed our long weekend in Yorkshire very much, particularly as the weather was kind and we were able to have some nice days out. I hope that I will have the opportunity to present to you and your members again on a different subject in the future.” - Richard Bost.
